The Diving Center

The captivating beauty of Capri’s sea can perhaps best be witnessed under water, and for this reason Capri Sea Service’s Diving center will be delighted to accompany clients in a series of excursions across the sea bed at the feet of the island.

Aboard small craft, just moments away from the center, clients can spend a whole day discovering a fabulous underwater world. For those yet to have acquired permits and who would like to make use of their vacation to learn how to dive, the sub school Sercomar has SSI instructors qualified for the granting of internationally recognized certificates. From the word go, participants are able to immerse themselves in the clear waters which surround the white cliffs of the island, visiting the underwater depths of the Faraglioni rocks and the numerous marine caves hidden well beneath the surface of the water.

The immersions in the vicinity of Capri are suitable both for beginners and expert divers and our center possesses a full list of excursions which go from 15 to 40 meters in depth. The underwater world of Capri is populated by cernia fish, lobsters, anemones, nubibranco sea snails, and marine flora of every kind, great plantations of poseidon follow the sub aqueous towards walls rich in red and yellow gorgonia and, in certain seasons of the year, it is even possible to witness the flowering of the rare black coral.

Prior to departure, clients should be sure to have all documentation which testifies to their diving experience and in particular, if they intend to acquire diving qualifications, a medical certificate which confirms that they are fit to dive.
